    Missoula County supports HB 9, Cultural and Aesthetic Grants, up for hearing tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. in the House Joint Appropriations Subcommittee on Long-Range Planning. Thank you, Representative Hopkins, for sponsoring this bill.

    Missoula County recognizes the importance of Arts and Culture in our community and encourages the committee to adopt the recommendation to fully fund the projects selected in 2021.

    Missoula County supports HB 9: Cultural and Aesthetic Grants, up for hearing this afternoon in the House Appropriations Committee. Thank you, Representative Hopkins, for sponsoring this bill.

    Missoula County recognizes the importance of Arts and Culture in our community and encourages the committee to adopt the recommendation to fully fund the projects selected in 2021. The Friends of the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula group has been included in HB 9 for $4,000 for restoration of the Willamette Locomotive. Plans are to have the locomotive restored and operating by its 100th anniversary in 2023. This locomotive is a Missoula icon and represents the instrumental impact logging had on our county’s economic development.

    Missoula County recognizes the importance of Arts and Culture in our community and encourages the committee to adopt the recommendation to fully fund the projects selected in 2021. The Friends of the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula group has been included in HB 9 for $4,000 for restoration of the Willamette Locomotive.
