Missoula County supports SB 107: Extend close of regular registration until 10 days before election day, up for hearing this afternoon in the Senate State Administration Committee. If passed, this bill would make it easier for voters to update their information, which would lead to more voters receiving their ballots in a timely fashion, and require fewer voters to appear in person on election day, contributing to better services for all. In the previous election, Missoula County saw high ballot return rates, which could be partly attributed to adjusting the timeframe for the close of regular registration, among other things.
