SB 50

 LC0452

Diane Sands (D) SD 49

Revise membership of the Board of Crime Control

Comments

  1. Representatives France and Tenenbaum,

Missoula County supports SB 50: Revise membership of the Board of Crime Control, up for hearing Monday morning in the House Judiciary Committee. If passed, this bill would provide a formal role for crime victim advocates in the justice system. This would show the legislature recognizes the critical role that advocates play in the lives of people who have been victimized as well as the role advocates play in ensuring the justice system best serves victims of crime. Secondly, the Board of Crime Control is the primary funder of advocacy programs across the state, which provide specialized services that are best supported by a funding body with at least one expert from the field serving within their ranks.

    Please support SB 50
