Missoula County opposes HB 371: Revise qualifications to serve as superintendent of public instruction, up for hearing tomorrow morning in the House State Administration Committee.
The superintendent of public instruction should be a certified teacher, someone who understands the field of education and the needs and experiences of students, teacher and administrators. A trained educator must know pedagogy.
