Missoula County opposes HB 452: Permit local governments to use ranked choice voting in local elections, heard this morning in the House State Administration Committee.
HB 452 would establish different election styles for municipal elections only, which would cause confusion for voters during county elections. Switching between election styles would also require an equipment upgrade to accommodate and could contribute to multi-page ballots, which would add cost and additional chance of errors.
