Missoula County supports HJ 15: Resolution to recognize benefits of connected trail networks across Montana, up for second reading today on the Senate floor. HJ 15 will recognize a roughly 1,500 mile long route linking existing trails for hikers, bicyclists, floaters and horseback riders, including 538 miles of the Continental Divide Trail, 400 miles of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route and 149 miles of the Upper Missouri National Wild and Scenic River from Fort Benton to the James Kipp Recreational Area. This project will attract tourists to these areas, impacting Montana’s economy for the better.
