HB 98

 LC0299

Sharon Stewart Peregoy (D)

Extending the Missing Indigenous Persons Task Force and the LINC grant program

Comments

  1. Representatives France and Tenenbaum,

Missoula County supports HB 35: Establish a missing persons review commission, HB 36: Establish a missing persons response team training grant program, and HB 98: Extending the Missing Indigenous Persons Task Force and the LINC grant program, all up for hearing tomorrow morning in the House Judiciary Committee. If passed, these bills would prove to be an important step in stemming the epidemic of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons. These bills would provide commitment and material investment in a problem that disproportionately impacts a community. Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons is a complex issue that will require years of work and investment, including ongoing relationship development, training, awareness, policy and practice.

Please support HB 35, HB 36 and HB 98.
